After last year's flop of WWE 17, I don't think anyone is terribly surprised that the wrestling franchise is skipping the Switch this time year. So why was last years outing such a flop? In a word it was a weak port. Many complaned of huge issues with framerate and performance. The other versions of the game were pretty well recieved by critics, but 2K games just couldn't get the game running acceptibly. Rather than delay, they shipped it, and the rest is history. The news of this year's release skipping the Switch was broken by the 2KSports team.
“WWE 2K19 will not be available on Nintendo Switch. 2K is focused on making the best possible experience for WWE 2K fans and will continue evaluating all opportunities to deliver the franchise across additional platforms.”
